DESCRIPTION
Take on the role of lead investigator in a child abduction cold case inspired by the Madeleine McCann disappearance. Make strategic decisions in recruiting team members and delegating assignments, as well as engaging in hands-on detective work.
The first title based on the Gamecrime formula – an all new multisystem design for true crime-inspired detective games.
UNIQUENESS
In the last years, there’s been a boom of innovation in the detective game genre. Titles like Return of the Obra Dinn and Her Story have brought detective game mechanics to a whole new level, and a new genre of mechanic-focused detective games is emerging.
The Gamecrime design takes this new style of detective mechanics and pairs them with the aesthetics of the true crime genre.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- True crime-inspired games is an untapped market (a “blue ocean”).
- New wave-detective games is a niche genre that is becoming increasingly popular among gamers – and since detective mysteries are one-time consumption products, there’s a growing demand for new titles.
- The game engine GC3D is estimated to be 90 percent finished for a first release.
- The production costs for each Gamecrime title are estimated to be very low in relation to the revenue.
